Just got this baby back from The MacStore (we don’t have an official Apple store here in Salem, OR… closest one is one hour away). Anyway, I was really looking forward to this guy, partly because it’s bright shiny and new, and also because that damn white and plastic one that came with this iMac 17″ Intel Core 2 Duo is so hard to keep clean. Not only do we (my wife and I) have a two year old boy running a-muck, but I am no (can’t find a proper metaphor…) Mr. Clean! There’s chips and bread crumbs, random hair and forensic traces of my wife or I, and who the heck knows what else…

So, yeah hooked this baby up and BAM!, almost all of the advertised functions (go to Apple.com for a run down) do not work. WTF? but low and behold, Update 1.1 and POOF! still nothing. OK, Apple, pissing off a switcher here… And then, BINGO! update 1.2 comes along as a swoon song, ailing all my woes and making me fall in love yet again with another innate piece of technology. That, sweet, sweet technology.
